An Illustration In Fashion Fraudulence

1) What BFH can only wear when April showers (wrong name for them really, now it's May) bring about a seven-degree reduction in nighttime temperatures:
The skirt is actually ankle-length, it looks awful that way so I looped the hem up to the waist and paperbagged it as tight as it would go. The belt doesn't seem to show up in pictures, though.
2) What BFH actually wears during daylight hours (note to self: be less scissor-happy with t-shirts or risk looking like a too-scruffy, wilted 80s reject).
Sorry the pictures are so blurry, it's me and my shaky camera hand again..

ah! BFH is revealed! regardless of fuzzy cameras, you look cute :) I like the wilted 80s reject outfit - do love printed skirts... for a moment I thought your skirt was a pair of culottes and instantly took me back to somewhere in '88 on a school trip...

Headmistress: Wilted 80s reject was exactly what I looked like, but the printed skirt has been one of my wardrobe staples for the last two years- I was rather fond of hoicking it up and wearing it as a top :). It's slightly pleated in the front, which is why it looked l;ike culottes, I guess..
Mr Style: Thank you! I guess I dress like a geek cause I am one..
Susie: Thanks! The last one is actually the easiest thing to wear in the heat..
Elisabeth: The t-shirt is the same in all three shots, I got it from a friend in Sri Lanka and cut off bits of hem and sleeve. It actually says 'Bullock Cart' on the front!
Fashionaddict: I must do blogroll updates soon, I'll definitely add yours! And I'm glad you like mine.
The_Undead: I've tried that, it makes me hunch weirdly. And BFH is the acronym of my screen name- Blue Floppy Hat.
X and Y: Plug done. And now that I've done it, you better make it last!

I'm going against the tide here because I love the first outfit, casual tees + shrunken blazers = perfection. Very Irina Lazareanu.

I tried leaving a comment before but my wireless was being mental. I LOVE your hair. I totally rocked those bangs in 2006 , a good four months it was.

Meg: I'm tremendously flattered that anything I wear can be considered Irina-like, the second outfit (with alonger skirt) is my default dressup mode for cooler weather.
Masala Chai: Thanks! I don't think my forehead has seen sunlight in the last six years, it's really the only way for my face not to look weird :)

I just saw the reply. I had that haircut permanently as a kid. It suited me , except I was feeling rebellious and cut it off when I was 13. Yes CUT IT OFF. Sigh, Age does mellow you.Good thing.
